Heya peeps, I've noticed that the site's layout is not appearing the way it should. It's currently undergoing some recoding to return it back to normal. Thanks for the heads up K! So 'bare' (couldn't resist a pun, even though it's really bad) with this layout while I try to get things back to what it was. Or maybe it's time for a template change, leave a comment and let me know. =)
*Hmm that didn't take so long afterall. But if you're still not viewing the site right, leave a comment! If you think this layout sucks leave a comment too! Although I've been known to have selective hearing. Heh.
Love,
Dawne

Results!
As I've mentioned, results will be released today. So for those who've taken part, thank you for taking the time and effort to come up with the pictures. I really appreciate your show of support! The winners will be receiving an email from me shortly. =) Hopefully with this, you've found new interesting ways to wear your Earring Addict creations. Earrings don't always have to be earrings and necklaces don't always have to go around your neck.
*I'll be a little slow these few weeks with my assignments breathing down my neck, so do forgive me if I may be slower and not updating this site as frequently. I will update soon enough, with one piece already on my table waiting to take its mugshot. =) Have a great week ahead!
Love,
Dawne

Easy Peasy Japanesey - ALL SOLD
Hmm on the contrary Japanese isn't that easy to master! Most of them speak minimal english so it's actually pretty tough to converse and ask for simple stuff. But they're oh so helpful and it really makes up for all the language barriers. Also interesting is that there are a lot of Chinese nationals working in Japan. So we were saved each time we went to a restaurant coz nearly every restaurant we went to we bumped into someone who could speak mandarin. Saved!
Alright onto earrings, Megumi, Haruko & Kumiko. I also call it Le Petit Collection, it's very adorable and cute. Thought i'd keep things simple for these. One of each, no remakes, until I go to Japan again or find someone who's going there. Megumi measures approx 1.1cm across while

It's rather funny how I used to not like roses and never thought that I'd be using carved roses to such extent in my works. But now I think that they add a feminine touch to a pair of simple stones, just like in this case. Still simple but not to the extent of blah-ness. I've got more carved roses from Japan in case you were wondering why I'm yakking on about them and I nearly fell in love with the entire section in the gemstore while I was there. My other comp crashed and some of my photos are buried at the moment. Give me some time while I resurrect them from the dead.

A tidbit about Zebras
"African bushmen of Guinea refer to these stripes in their native Madango as "sukuku" which means "lightning" and plays an important role in the customs of the eastern region of Kankan. In ancient beliefs it was thought zebras were sent by the spirit of lightning and rain to remind people that time changes, good seasons of abundant fertility might turn out to be droughts, that giving life may take another's life away, that black can't exist without white."

Mandy - SOLD
Country cottages and fields on a cobachon for that distinctive vintage look. Found these lovely cobachons in Japan and flipped every bead in the bin there was to make sure I got the best out of the bin. Then scoured high and low to get a backing that fit the cobachon of this size. I tend to fall in love with beads too easily and this is one of them. Firstly it so reminds me of Enid Blyton stories and the vintage feel is unimitable. Secondly it's definitely unique, coz I've never seen them around. Okay before I start rambling off track, topped with peach aventurine carved roses and a little teeny weeny butterfly charm and tassles. I think i've got the entire look down to pat. Whimsical yet coquettish. Kinda reminds you of love at sweet 16. Oh and the blushing cheeks. Pendant drops 8cm including tassles, while necklace measures 22 inches (ends around bust area).

I'm baaaaaack!! Albeit a little under the weather (curses under my sickly breath). First up pictures of creations, I'll take some time to resize all the pictures of my trip and a little post about it is in order.
Lovely old world charm with the shy bronzed flowers snuggling little bronzed swarovski pearls atop buffalo turquoise pillows. The buffalo turquoise never fails to steal my heart. Measures 4cm excluding 14k ear hooks.
