The latest batch of Karin's goodies yielded this green based polymer clay bead in a burst of colours. To do it justice, i paired it with peach jade, sea foam wavy glass bead & a violet faceted rectangle bead, complementing the wonderful tones that Karin has chosen. All that colour was then finally complemented with swarovski crystal chains & 14k gold plated textured chains and finished with a heart shaped toggle clasp. Lena marries traditional bling bits with a more unconventional wooden cube beads. I adore mixing wooden beads with other beads that are not often used together and i have a secret love for working with wooden beads. Trouble is sometimes marriage is not always the easiest thing, sometimes you choose the wrong partner and the pairing goes awry. But thankfully more often than not, I think i've paired them with parts that gives the wooden beads that little extra. Just like when you become a better person because of your partner's presence. Today's a pink & gold day. I love the soft pink + gold combo. It's gotta be the most feminine combo without being overtly cutesy or screaming "I am a female, hear me roar!" 14k gold plated diamante ear studs dangle off inverted diamond shaped soft pink faceted glass beads. I know mimosa is not entirely the most flattering name of flowers in the entire plant universe, but the matte gold leaves remind me of the mimosa leaves ever ready to fold up when touched or exposed to heat. The event was great fun & all the new faces I met! As well as some old faces! It was truly a lovely weekend, i hope all you ladies fulfilled your own retail therapy and some of the Christmas wishlists to alleviate that looming headache. :)

I will be uploading some of the stuff online after recovering from the tiring weekend (I was going through a bout of mild food poisoning while manning the stall over the weekends) as well as tidy up those accounts that needs to be done after every event.

As I looked at the faceted quartz oval bead, the scene of crashing waves came to mind. Unfortunately my memory is failing me so i can't quite remember what specific quartz it was. When i bought these semi-precious babies my memory was tip top, sigh. I rummaged through my charms box, and the natural selection was for the conch shell to be matched with something that inspires me of the deep blue sea so much. Cerulean Seas measure 21" long. Thank you for all who came down and those who came along and were wearing black tops with the black balloons, hope you liked your little gift. I had a really good time on Sunday, the stall location was pretty good (for me), i had 3 tables, a long sofa so that friends who came could sit down comfortably to chat, as well as friends of customers who were waiting for their friends to shop. Decent food, decent drinks (cheap martinis, I don't drink a lot but lychee martinis are really yummy), air conditioning & good music. Pretty much the best location to hold a flea. I sure hope those who came by enjoyed themselves too. If you didn't pick up something from me, then at least a buy from the other sellers. I saw some cool sneakers too. All in all, it was great fun, hope you did too. And for those who're new, hello!

Flea & Easy - Beauty & the Feast *Updated 28 Jul

Heya peeps,

I'll be taking part at Flea & Easy's the August edition - Beauty & the Feast. It is next Sunday, 2 Aug, from 2pm - 8pm. Right now i don't have my stall number yet and blogger is not allowing my to upload pictures. Watch this space for more information leading up to Sunday.

My stall number is 57 & it's at the Zouk Member's Area (2nd level) at the round tables. I will be getting balloons to make it easier for identification. The colour of the balloon will be mood dependent, however if you do turn up wearing the same colour as the balloons, you'll get a little prezzie! Whilst stocks last of course, but i will try to make as many as possible :D

There will be lots of new stuff that i'm creating that you've not seen before. New bracelets with Karin's polymer clay, earrings & necklaces in whimsical & classical styles. I promise i will not disappoint. I will try to snap pictures, if time allows.

Keramikos - Lilac Dreams - Sold

Now that i'm back it's only fair that i continue launching the remaining 2 of the Keramikos collection as a complete set. Though i generally hate to interrupt the launch of a collection in such a way, time was not on my side before i left the country. Lilac Dreams feature lilac painted ceramic donuts topped with rose quartz carved flowers & a single mauve toned pearl. Definitely in sync with the floral patterns that are being spotted this summer! Keramikos - Hera - Sold

Hera, known for the goddess of childbirth & marriage, was also known to be a vengeful goddess, seeking to right the wrongs of those who crossed her. The Hera in Keramikos edition is a lot tamer, but no less indignant when it comes to rights & wrongs. Black tuft patterns on white topped with a pair of onyx carved roses, all wrapped up in argentium silver wires & sterling silver earhooks. Regal & tough, Hera stands tall at 4.2cm excluding ear hooks.

Keramikos - Helia - Sold

2nd in the collection, Helia beats down upon us, giving the buds nutrients to grow pretty peach aventurine blooms, photosynthesizing leaves to give us oxygen. The giver of all can also create an imbalance to gives us droughts, cancers. Everything has a good & bad side, have you seen them yet? Helia measures 3cm excluding 14k gold plated earhooks.

Keramikos - Calla - Sold

1st in the Keramikos collection, again similar to Linearis, each design in the collection is a one-piece design. The ceramic donuts in the entire collection are all individually handmade & painstakingly handpainted by a Thai crafter friend of mine. Unfortunately she does not have an online presence, hopefully under my urging she would have it up sometime soon!
