Yes 2009 is here! Traditionally i'm not one who's very excitable by the coming New Year, but this year oddly i am, maybe it's also got to do with a long weekend as opposed to going back to school. Work changes your perspective a little. ;)

Have a wonderful celebration, be it some quiet time with your loved ones, or one of those big crazy parties. I think every new year brings promises, because it put an end to the previous one, and this coming year is no different!

Linearis

I've never launched a collection coz I could never get my mind to organise its thoughts enough to group my creations together. Finally after almost 2yrs, i've managed to launch my first proper collection. Linearis is a series of bracelets with semi precious bits as focals, completed with 14k gold plated chains or rhodium chains. The Linearis series keeps things simple, perfect for streamlining your look and having that bit of bling-ness from semi-precious stones without being too ostentatious. Some chunky, some dainty, some shiny. Each item, however will be unique, with no repeats slated. So if you see something you like, you'd have to make your decision real quick. I will also make it very special for the owners of my first collection. For those who're not on my mailing list, do send your emails to me so that i can update my mailing list. Yes i've been trying to set up a mailing list!! Blardy hard work i say, weeding out the emails that are not to be included, so i don't come across as spamming. Merry Xmas

Sophia is a meld of warm tones without being dowdy and too earthy despite the heavy use of brown. In fact it's a funky take on brown, matched with the girlish prettiness of Karin's mocha based lentil and a sparkly bit matched with 14k gold plated chains. Most jewelry that contain brown take on a really earthy feel, but this has deviated, with an addition of glam through the use of the sparkly bit and gold chains. Perfect for the lady who likes standing out from the crowd and doesn't go for the usual purple/pink combo. Measures 7", length adjustable to suit wearer's wrist.

X'mas Gifting

As we all know Christmas is inching closer, for all items purchased during this period, a gift box is available upon request and if you need the item to reach the giftee, just let me know, i'm rather flexible on these arrangements. In addition, normal postage is free during this period, however i'd much rather encourage you take up registered mail. I've been having some problems with Singpost lately and unfortunately my margins don't allow me to absorb registered mail, i will have to leave this as an option to you. I would seriously strongly advise for registered mail, til i find a better solution.

In the meantime, Christmas is coming, let's all enjoy ourselves as the year comes to a close and a wonderful year ahead.

Maven does anything that strikes her fancy and will refuse to follow conventions even if they are for her own good. Refusing to stand pretty against a plain background she chose to pose amongst a riot of colours, perhaps to stand shyly with the bouquet of peeking amongst the rose shrubbery. Frankly speaking last weekend's event wasn't entirely fantastic. I've tons of stuff made, but no time to take photos. Hopefully i manage to spare some time over the weekend, if i'm not busy with work related stuff. Maybe descriptions will be shorter and i'll let the pictures do the talking. So cheerios! And if you were one of those who popped by my stall and was thinking of getting something but didn't but are looking at my site now. Well let's put it this way, i'll be busy sunday afternoon. RSC Block Party - How Tos

How to get there & shuttle bus schedules. To illustrate in slightly more familiar terms perhaps would be that if it were me, i'd come out from the exit of Plaza Singapura, near Carrefour & Toast Box which leads to the taxi stand (which also will be the pick up point of the shuttle bus). On your left should be the entrance to the carpark of PS. If you were to walk along the path towards The Cathay, shortly after the carpark of PS there is a staircase that you see on the map above. Taking it all the way up will lead you to Sinema Old School. I have yet been assigned with a stall / lot number so once i have details on that you'll be kept informed.

Beyond just the flea market, there are also movie screenings at Sinema Old School by our local filmmakers Tan Siok Siok, Tan Pin Pin & Eric Lin You Wei. There are also DJs from Home Club spinning, all for an oft heard cause that's been running through our everyday commentary. I will make some eco-friendly jewelry based on parts that some of my colleagues have donated. So if these are jewelry that my colleagues don't wear and have passed on to me, they will definitely be unique, afterall i'm not buying the parts from the stores. ;P All in the name of exclusivity eh. I guess we can all do our small little part wherever we can. If you wish to donate your jewelry that you don't wear anymore or have never worn before, for me to redesign, bring it down and i'll see what i can do!
