Keramikos - Lilac Dreams - Sold

Now that i'm back it's only fair that i continue launching the remaining 2 of the Keramikos collection as a complete set. Though i generally hate to interrupt the launch of a collection in such a way, time was not on my side before i left the country. Keramikos - Hera - Sold

Hera, known for the goddess of childbirth & marriage, was also known to be a vengeful goddess, seeking to right the wrongs of those who crossed her. The Hera in Keramikos edition is a lot tamer, but no less indignant when it comes to rights & wrongs. Black tuft patterns on white topped with a pair of onyx carved roses, all wrapped up in argentium silver wires & sterling silver earhooks. Regal & tough, Hera stands tall at 4.2cm excluding ear hooks.

Keramikos - Helia - Sold

2nd in the collection, Helia beats down upon us, giving the buds nutrients to grow pretty peach aventurine blooms, photosynthesizing leaves to give us oxygen. The giver of all can also create an imbalance to gives us droughts, cancers. Everything has a good & bad side, have you seen them yet? Helia measures 3cm excluding 14k gold plated earhooks.

Keramikos - Calla - Sold

1st in the Keramikos collection, again similar to Linearis, each design in the collection is a one-piece design. The ceramic donuts in the entire collection are all individually handmade & painstakingly handpainted by a Thai crafter friend of mine. Unfortunately she does not have an online presence, hopefully under my urging she would have it up sometime soon!

Little birds twitter in the living room, sharing the latest news about the world, how things have changed & how some things never change. A variety of topics, some positive, some negative, some uplifting, some downright dreary. Calla dangles 3cm off her 14k gold plated ear hooks.

Eliza sits pretty with colourful polymer clay lentils of yellow, fuchsia & cyan. Complementing the lovely colours are bone briolettes that doesn't snatch the attention away with colour, but elongating them visually. Julienne is ms organic. She spends her time tending to the garden, championing environmental causes and ensures she causes the least impact to mother earth. Gemma shines with gold and crystals, much like her bejeweled name. Melinda features gorgeous cubic zirconia teardrops in rich amethyst tones matched with pretty blooms of summer, what with the crazy heat beating down onto the earth. It's amazing that flowers are generally products of survival, but what beauty they bring to the earth. If you think about the logic and thought process, the beauty that is created, humans can never beat Mother Earth at this. It is only right for us to be conscious of what we consume and produce, since we can't beat Mother Earth, at least let's do what we can to stop the erosion of beauty.

Got home earlier today coz i was totally exhausted by work. To the extent that when i turned my head my vision lags by 2 seconds. I feel like an unresponsive computer. I am also slowly falling sick. Hopefully i get to rest over the long weekends (if there is, since the company hasn't announced it yet so far).

Anyway i've been in touch with the ladies at TRIOOO with regards to their necklace. I first met them at MAAD late '07 when I bought my Swing-it from them. I still carry it out on weekends or when i head out for supper, it is such a nifty carry. Super love the fabric choice that i purchased, and it really stands out from the crowd. Nothing beats carrying something handmade that fits your needs. Recently they've launched their latest collection, the Sling-its with truly adorable prints!

Ametrine Dreams - Sold

Dream in technicolour of purple & yellow, the royal colours of amethyst & citrine. Ametrine is to me an amazing semi-precious stone that showcases nature's beauty at its peak of artistic endeavours. The original stone amethyst, when subjected to immense amounts of heat, turns to citrine. However heating may be irregular due to formation, shapes and a multitude of reasons, therefore resulting in what some may call half-baked Ametrine. To me, this is amazing, just coz few stones can call themselves a transition point of 2 stones! Ametrine dreams carry a 20mm faceted ametrine brio, draped over 14k gold plated fancy hoops. I've tried to pick the closest in terms of colour banding an intensity of colour as best as possible, seeing nature always dictates the designs, rather than me.

This would be a lovely present for mummy dearest coming this Mother's Day. A matching necklace can be requested, should you require a full set as a present. Bought this silver spring lock charm in HK coz it was really unique. Don't think i've ever seen them before around locally. May this silver lock keep your dreams tight against your chest and never sway under circumstance. Afterall too many a times, we drift away from our dreams, too far to come back again. A textured silver briolette pendant hangs off a 20" cable chain. I guess this piece doesn't have a really special story. Rowan, is definitely not the little red one as her gaelic origins say she is. Rowan ties petite salsa cubic zirconia teardrops to gilded 14k gold plated rings with cloisonne fans to tower at 5.5cm excluding 14k gold plated earhooks. Picked up the girl charm at the bead shop and couldn't stop laughing nor thinking how adorable this is. Partially coz i had picked up these stickers with a girl's face that was similar and had this pout and a caption that said "I'm not worried, I'm happy!" Obviously a jibe about her state of emotions. Maybe i'll try to get my friend whom i've given the stickers away to, to snap a picture to show you the similarity. Itzel has also been wired up with gold filled wires to last that bit longer.

Even though all metals will tarnish in a matter of time, we don't always have to be fatalistic about it. Just take a little bit more care over the items you cherish. Not too hard ainnit. ;)

Was kinda busy over the weekends in Feb. Too many things happened, HK trip to visit a family friend (where i picked up these beauties), V-Day watching my bf perform with Mathilda & The Motherfunkies @ Esplanade and a passing within the family. Laced Black & White has lace in their respective colours encased in clear acrylic. This must be the HK version to these that the Japanese have. Wonder what would our local tapestry reflect. The pictures are colour accurate, as you might have noticed that Laced Black has black lace encased in clear acrylic that has a slight tinge of red. Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire

Ring of Fire is made with a departure of the usual materials that i tend to use. This time round i've dabbled with gold filled ear hoops and wrapped them with scarlet faceted czech glass beads using gold filled wire. I've been wanting to do this design for a really, really long time, but never managed to find the beads that would immortalize this design. Finally, it's done! The ear hoops measure 4.5cm across. Comes with a polish cloth for you to keep this design lasting longer!

Funny how things with pastel colours always ends up with my description as spring related. But the light and chirpy colours does bring some cheer to me, maybe it's the cool breeze, the light sun that warms our heart or a happy tune that pops into my head. Thinking of the tune as i walk with a light heart to wherever i'm going, Michelle is precisely that spring in my step. The brass charm is weighted, so it will actually look like it's written on a straight line (when worn) as opposed to most charms dangling off the loop of 'L'.

*I've got my own (seeing how cute this is, how can i resist) and worn it for for at least 4 days. I've gotten a hit rate of 80% comments from friends & family whom i've met. They all think it's an absolute laugh. My friend's mom suggested for me to give it to my mom for Mother's Day (an apt present perhaps?), my cousins have offered it to their dad, my grandma has shook her head in disagreement. Keep your eyes peeled

This is not a post for a new item, or another series, but for something worth a lot more that I feel all of us should take some time to read, feel and think of what our inactions will also mean. Spreading the word, sharing what's happening around us will make sure that companies like these will not be able to get away with doing something like that.

It disgusts me to know that the basic decency of informing the workers of what is going to happen to them, nor arrangements for A meal was not made. Imagine the amount of money the workers hands have made for them, without them being paid minimal sums of money for them to enjoy the fat margins to buy them that cushy Merc S class or that 7 series that they get to go to work in. The least that they could do for the workers as a human being watching out for a fellow human wasn't even there. So they were all mere integers in this whole big game.

Isabella is such a sweet petite lil' thing that simply charmed my heart. Measuring in at tiny 1.2cm with equally pint sized brass maple leaf charms, they're perfect for the coming spring. The amazonite coins definitely remind me of the lovely copper sulphate blue waters in Lake Taupo in NZ, the imagery immediately reminds me of the lovely sound of the rushing water and the crisp cool air, much like what we're experiencing tonight. Now if someone could just crystallize that memory into these earrings and instantly remind me of it, that'll be just perfect.
