Cherry Blossoms - SOLD

A sweet pink number from top to toe. The ceramic beads with handpainted cherry blossoms is capped by swarovski crystals of varying hues and opacity/translucency, while a pink clay bead with little pink, white lined squares prettifying the bead. Although it may seem a tad too pinkish, it's not just for the demure girl, but also the girl who likes mixing old and new, and a different touch to the cloyingly sweet pink beads.

Perla - SOLD

Perla is the spanish word for pearls, I know it seems like I don't have much creativity in naming my earrings, so please pardon me. These are swarovski pearls which have been made to imitate real pearls. Ultimately they are still crystals beneath, but they are able to imitate how real pearls adapt to skin warmth therefore the premium as compared to normal glass pearl beads. Hanging on different lenths of 14k gold plated chain are light creamrose and bronze coloured pearls, with a drop of 4cm excluding ear hooks.

Renee - SOLD

Renee is definitely simple but stunning, my favourite favourite piece. Ok I like simple designs so shoot me. Heh. Gold hoops (3.5cm across) with turqoise chips. Funky, elegant, classy. I've made one for myself but there are still 2 more pairs available.

Jamie - SOLD

Pressed glass beads and gold acrylic beads were combined to exude elegance and sass. Attention grabbing piece at work or at play. Gold discs are 2.5cm in diameter and the drop excluding earhooks is 4cm.

Vienna - SOLD

Vienna would not lose its lustre in a black and white movie, with the shine of the quartz briolette and elegance of the filligree capped howlite beads. Interestingly howlite is used to to calm and reduce tension. It's also purported to aid creativity. Maybe we should get the government to give a howlite stone to each household to become more creative and think out of the box. Entire drop is 3cm excluding 925 silver ear hooks.

Ariel - SOLD

Rich burgundy glass disc (2cm across) topped with a faux pearl with a pretty shiny sandstone dangling off it. Sandstones are essentially quartz and are rather hardy materials. In fact they're even used in buildings! The Taj Mahal was originally constructed with red sandstone, so this quartz has gone places! Entire drop excluding ear hooks is 4cm.

Opulence

I guess these necklace designs are rather in vogue lately so I've customized these necklaces for my aunt who will gift them to her nieces. An angel charm was used but it doesn't seem to show up very well in this picture. A black quartz briolette and 2 swarovski crystals in different sizes top off to make this suitable for someone who's young and modern without looking too 'old'. You know how some designs look really classic and as a result ages you. We don't really want that for an 18 yo girl do we.

Girlish Secrets

Girlish Secrets comes with lock and key charms, cloisonne butterfly and a glass bead with a 3.5cm gold ring to top off this sweet creation. Necklace is 9" with a lobster clasp to lock everything together. It's customized for a sweet 14 yo girl. Hopefully she likes this necklace and if you're the recipient drop a comment to say hi or something. =)

Radiance - SOLD

Radiance was a naughty girl who refused to look pretty against a white background so she was shot against a bright red postcard which incidentally was a brochure for the Arts Festival in Y2K. I couldn't resist the design of the postcard that i decided not to crop it out of the picture. Rose quartz butterflies are carved with faux pearls dangling off it. Chain and parts 925 silver.

Pink of Health *Updated version

Pink of Health is a deviation from the names that I usually use to name my creations, but the blushing pink of the carved cherry quartz butterflies made the word pink flashed so many times in my mind that I decided to name it as so. Especially since the aventurine cones are supposed to aid sleep, lack of sleep will lead to ill health so there you go. Was supposed to just pick up some beads to remake something for a classmate but I ended up buying lots of beads! All parts are brass, and nickel-free (good news for peeps with sensitive ears).

**I've updated the design to include a peridot jasper because I just noticed that if you looked at the earrings from far the carved butterfly doesn't seem to show much of it's transclucency and looked rather opaque and orange. So from far the entire earrings just looks like a single colour - orange. But you're still welcome to purchase either one, or as is displayed in the picture. The peridot jasper is capped with brass filligree. The drop for the updated version is 5cm/2inches excluding the earhooks and the original is 4cm/approx. 1.5inches.

Larissa - SOLD

Larissa is for the sweetie pie with the baby blue and baby pink colour combination. The faceted baby blue briolette is crowned with rose and rose alabaster crystals with the glass rose atop. It kinda looks like a stick girl with the round head and triangle skirts.

Work Schedule

From now on I'll keep to a schedule of making earrings on the weekends. Of course any orders or customization requests are accepted any day of the week. Hopefully i'll be able to churn out more earrings for the festive season for you and your loved ones (pressies for them! *wink*) !

Love,
Dawne

P.S.: I'll be working this coming weekend so watch out for the following weekend instead! My sincere apologies for the bad news after the good news.

Shannon - SOLD

Shannon isn't as photogenic as I had expected her to be. The faceted czech glass bead is a royal blue which looks better if you saw her face to face. Rhodium heart encrusted with swarovski crystals, with the royal blue being the focus colour of this earring. Earring hooks are rhodium which means people with sensitive ears can bring this home too! One piece only. Although I have a similar one with fuchsia and pink crystals coming up soon. I'd have to search for a nice bead to match it though.

Fiorella - SOLD

Pale green glass roses with opaque baby blue czech glass beads, rose & violet Swarovski cystals dangling off it. Fiorella kinda reminds me of spring with all the pastel colour combinations. The second picture is a more accurate picture of the roses.

Johanna

Johanna is tickled pink from all the compliments that she's the prettiest rose in the bunch. Of course being the prettiest means you get all the attention with gifts of turquoise and rose alabaster crystals. She even has suiters all the way from Czechoslovakia bearing blue glass beads to win her heart. No wonder Johanna is blushing.

Retail Price: SGD12

Kalyca - SOLD

Kalyca uses an oval tensha bead as the focus, topped with rose alabaster 4mm & fuchsia 3mm Swarovski crystals. Very english, lovely for the afternoon tea with scones and a flouncy dress.

Tabitha - SOLD

Close-up

2 black crystals cap the black tensha bead, while 925 silver chain accents are tipped with a 4mm Swarovski crystal. The top feature is dark while the bottom catches the light effortlessly for an interesting contrast. Total length excluding ear hooks is 5.8cm, perfect for the long necked. Last piece!

Retail Price: SGD 12

Farfalla - SOLD

Papillon's cousin is matched with iredescent blue crystals that turn purplish in the day. I've tried very hard to capture the blue at night, but it eludes me. So to see the blue you'd have to catch it with your own eyes.

Meris - SOLD

Meris comes from the sea bearing a brown mother of pearl donut, cultured pearls and mother of pearl squares. Although you may be tempted to go near the sea with Meris constantly calling for her home, she can be easily soothed by afternoon catch-up with the girlfriends, shopping trips and fancy dinners. Length excluding ear hooks: 4cm.

Surge in production rate

As you've most probably noticed, this week and the last had lots of updates, be it website design, new earrings, new ventures, this is because school is starting next week. I foresee it to be hectic so i wanna put my heart and soul into Earring Addict for this week, therefore the very high production output. So check back on the website daily (just) for this week. You won't want the design you desire to have a 'SOLD' tag with someone else as the owner. So just for this week!

Love,
Dawne

Linda - SOLD

1st necklace! Yet another baby. Tensha bead as pendent capped with purple glass beads, strung with black glass beads interspersed with howlite and matching tensha beads. For the elegant ladies, matched with a high collared top or low neckline, this will definitely steal the show. Pretty, pretty. Pictured Linda is 46cm in length, but will be customised to the owner.

Wilona - SOLD

Yes that's my honors thesis in the background in the 2nd picture, but this picture brought out the colour in Wilona. Using gold pewter charm, mother of pearl squares, cultured pearls, white flat teardrop glass bead, light colorado topaz swarovski crystals and translucent white rice beads all hung on varying lengths of 14k gold chain. 4cm in length excluding ear hooks. Wanna look chic with jeans and a t-shirt, just grab Wilona and a pair of heels and you're good to go.

Raine - SOLD

The queen has commissioned for this piece, with Raine being such an apt name for her. Using cherry quartz, butterfly cloisonne and dyed jade twisted nuggets, everything comes together with 14K gold plated bracelet and butterfly toggle closure. Of course by now you should have noticed the resemblance between Chessa and Raine, with Raine being the inspiration.

I Heart Magic Mushrooms - SOLD

Tipsy red cloisonne hearts for some magic mushroom madness. Break the daily mundane rush and upset the daily routine, slow down, take a deep breath (the air's fresher without the haze), smile at a stranger, do something crazy, wear a colour you'd never wear, hang I Heart Magic Mushrooms on your ears, enjoy today.

Clea - SOLD

Black cloisonne bead stacked between 2 red japanese beads with gold wisps and gold spacers on 14K gold ear hooks. Clea likes chinatown, Clea likes chic Parisian black, Clea likes mixing modern and traditional.

Papillon - SOLD

Little cloisonne butterflies flit around with girlishly pink crystals alternating to embellish the cloisonne butterfly bead on a 14K gold plated ear hook. Of the recent batch of earrings i have to admit this is my favourite, simply because it's so disarmingly sweet and yes i couldn't help it but to keep a pair of it for myself. There's a pair of it left, however it'll most probably have a cousin as I have another batch of butterfly cloisonne bead with a slightly different colour detail.

Nicolette - SOLD

Nicola's cousin with soft blue eyes and creamy skin or for the convent girl who wears a blue pinafore and white blouse in her heart for life. Yes i'm a convent girl through and through.

Nicola - SOLD

Cream white pearls with black 4mm round Swarovski crystals on a black hoop (2.5mm dia). Perfect with a polka dotted top that is all the rage right now. For the ladies who wants retro with class.

Chessa

This green and pink charmer uses cherry quartz with 14K gold filligree caps for accents and dyed jade twisted nuggets, all earring parts are 14K gold plated. Something to go with your elegant dress or pretty skirts. My first semi-precious piece that was inspired by the bracelet a friend of mine requested for. Matching bracelet can be customised upon request. 4.25cm in length excluding ear hooks.

New Collection

Made a new bunch of earrings with cloisonne beads, pictures will be up soon pending either my dad's arrival tomorrow (he brought the cam with him on his trip), or a combination of sufficient natural light and the clarity of my hp camera. I'm still rather new to my phone so i've yet to really fiddle around with all the settings of the digicam function on it. But pictures will be up real soon! Be patient!

Sneaks

As promised, pictures of my new adventure. It isn't the finalised version as the owner wants to tweak some stuff, but it is a sneak peek.

It was rather fun, playing around and making a bracelet, using different bits & beads and putting more stuff than you would on a pair of earrings so that the bracelet didn't look so plain. Also because of this i made a really pretty pair of earrings which i would not have made (photos soon), so it was a really interesting experience. Which also means as I improve, you benefit, so continue pushing me. =)

Earring Addict is spreading its wings!

Although Earring Addict is very young, it is now beginning spreading its wings to include rings and bracelets due to customisation requests. My focus at the moment are still earrings but I always welcome customisation requests, which help to stretch me as I learn about the usage and techniques involved with beaded jewellery making. Of course I would put up pictures after they are completed. Hopefully, this would be an interesting journey!

Lapis - SOLD

Using fired glass beads and silver filligree cap and ball, Lapis is a classic that will last you through your first job, your honeymoon, your first child and your retirement.

*A pity the cactus died a few weeks back. It never did made it like Lapis.

Minoru - SOLD

Throughout the ages, humans have been enchanted by pearls and the shells of the mollusks that produce them. Despite it's long history, it has never stopped being one of the coveted items of the rich and famous. At the dawn of the 20th century, people in Europe and the United States began wearing pearls for less formal occasions—a fashion that persists to this day. If you're scratching your head for something to wear today, you know which earring to pick up to complement that casual chic look.

Aglaia is a Greek name for brilliance, something which Swarovski crystals are famed for. This collection of Algaia earrings reflect just that, brilliance, beauty and quiet determination. The Aglaia collection is close to my heart as I started off experimenting with crystals in an attempt to make a similar pair which I loved. This collection is home to my "debut pieces" you could say.

Past, Present, Future

Recently I returned to a hobby that I used to enjoy as a little girl and start making trinkets and earrings. Therefore this website is catered to selling some of the stuff that I make. At the moment the website is kinda sparse with very little information, do bear with it while i try to spruce up the whole site. If you'd like to enquire on my designs do email me at dawnelee@gmail.com, i'd be glad to hear from you. You can also hop on down to http://www.flickr.com/photos/48405027@N00/ where i host some of my other designs. All designs are limited to 3 pairs with most of them being one-off creations. I like high quality stuff and that translates to the kind of materials that I use in my creations, glass beads, swarovski crystals and also absolute care to detail. If you think that none of the designs are to your liking but have a friend who might, it'll be nice of you to click a few buttons and forward my URL to your friends. Thank you for visiting! =)

Victoria - SOLD

Using hematite rectangle beads, pearls and gold clasps Victoria exudes old school glamour and modern charm. Victoria is the modern lady who's always classy and loves the glamour of the vintage years. Are you Victoria?

*Victoria was updated with gold hooks, however the earlier picture captured Victoria better, so I've left it up for the benefit of people who're interested in Victoria.
