Surge in production rate

As you've most probably noticed, this week and the last had lots of updates, be it website design, new earrings, new ventures, this is because school is starting next week. I foresee it to be hectic so i wanna put my heart and soul into Earring Addict for this week, therefore the very high production output. So check back on the website daily (just) for this week. You won't want the design you desire to have a 'SOLD' tag with someone else as the owner. So just for this week!

Love,

Linda - SOLD

1st necklace! Yet another baby. Tensha bead as pendent capped with purple glass beads, strung with black glass beads interspersed with howlite and matching tensha beads. For the elegant ladies, matched with a high collared top or low neckline, this will definitely steal the show. Pretty, pretty. Pictured Linda is 46cm in length, but will be customised to the owner.

Wilona - SOLD

Yes that's my honors thesis in the background in the 2nd picture, but this picture brought out the colour in Wilona. Using gold pewter charm, mother of pearl squares, cultured pearls, white flat teardrop glass bead, light colorado topaz swarovski crystals and translucent white rice beads all hung on varying lengths of 14k gold chain. 4cm in length excluding ear hooks. Wanna look chic with jeans and a t-shirt, just grab Wilona and a pair of heels and you're good to go.

Raine - SOLD

The queen has commissioned for this piece, with Raine being such an apt name for her. Using cherry quartz, butterfly cloisonne and dyed jade twisted nuggets, everything comes together with 14K gold plated bracelet and butterfly toggle closure. Of course by now you should have noticed the resemblance between Chessa and Raine, with Raine being the inspiration.

I Heart Magic Mushrooms - SOLD

Tipsy red cloisonne hearts for some magic mushroom madness. Break the daily mundane rush and upset the daily routine, slow down, take a deep breath (the air's fresher without the haze), smile at a stranger, do something crazy, wear a colour you'd never wear, hang I Heart Magic Mushrooms on your ears, enjoy today.

Clea - SOLD

Black cloisonne bead stacked between 2 red japanese beads with gold wisps and gold spacers on 14K gold ear hooks. Clea likes chinatown, Clea likes chic Parisian black, Clea likes mixing modern and traditional.

Papillon - SOLD

Little cloisonne butterflies flit around with girlishly pink crystals alternating to embellish the cloisonne butterfly bead on a 14K gold plated ear hook. Of the recent batch of earrings i have to admit this is my favourite, simply because it's so disarmingly sweet and yes i couldn't help it but to keep a pair of it for myself. There's a pair of it left, however it'll most probably have a cousin as I have another batch of butterfly cloisonne bead with a slightly different colour detail.

Nicolette - SOLD

Nicola's cousin with soft blue eyes and creamy skin or for the convent girl who wears a blue pinafore and white blouse in her heart for life. Yes i'm a convent girl through and through.

Nicola - SOLD

Cream white pearls with black 4mm round Swarovski crystals on a black hoop (2.5mm dia). Perfect with a polka dotted top that is all the rage right now. For the ladies who wants retro with class.

Chessa

This green and pink charmer uses cherry quartz with 14K gold filligree caps for accents and dyed jade twisted nuggets, all earring parts are 14K gold plated. Something to go with your elegant dress or pretty skirts. My first semi-precious piece that was inspired by the bracelet a friend of mine requested for. Matching bracelet can be customised upon request. 4.25cm in length excluding ear hooks.

New Collection

Made a new bunch of earrings with cloisonne beads, pictures will be up soon pending either my dad's arrival tomorrow (he brought the cam with him on his trip), or a combination of sufficient natural light and the clarity of my hp camera. I'm still rather new to my phone so i've yet to really fiddle around with all the settings of the digicam function on it. But pictures will be up real soon! Be patient!

Sneaks

As promised, pictures of my new adventure. It isn't the finalised version as the owner wants to tweak some stuff, but it is a sneak peek.

It was rather fun, playing around and making a bracelet, using different bits & beads and putting more stuff than you would on a pair of earrings so that the bracelet didn't look so plain. Also because of this i made a really pretty pair of earrings which i would not have made (photos soon), so it was a really interesting experience. Which also means as I improve, you benefit, so continue pushing me. =)

Earring Addict is spreading its wings!

Although Earring Addict is very young, it is now beginning spreading its wings to include rings and bracelets due to customisation requests. My focus at the moment are still earrings but I always welcome customisation requests, which help to stretch me as I learn about the usage and techniques involved with beaded jewellery making. Of course I would put up pictures after they are completed. Hopefully, this would be an interesting journey!

Lapis - SOLD

Using fired glass beads and silver filligree cap and ball, Lapis is a classic that will last you through your first job, your honeymoon, your first child and your retirement.

*A pity the cactus died a few weeks back. It never did made it like Lapis.

Minoru - SOLD

Throughout the ages, humans have been enchanted by pearls and the shells of the mollusks that produce them. Despite it's long history, it has never stopped being one of the coveted items of the rich and famous. At the dawn of the 20th century, people in Europe and the United States began wearing pearls for less formal occasions—a fashion that persists to this day. If you're scratching your head for something to wear today, you know which earring to pick up to complement that casual chic look.
